Swiss Fragrances opened as a supplier of raw aroma chemicals to local perfumers — the unglamorous first act nobody puts on a label. We measured, blended, and shipped molecules to people who turned them into something wearable.
Over time, we started asking why we couldn’t be the ones doing the wearing part too. So we built out the middle act — essential oils, distilled and cold-pressed in small runs — and eventually the third: fine fragrance, bottled under our own name.
The three acts stayed. They’re still how we think about every project that comes through the door.
Where a scent starts as vocabulary. Single molecules — clean, exact, repeatable — that a perfumer builds sentences from.
The part that comes from a field, not a flask. Distilled, pressed and cold-stored — the character that no molecule copies exactly.
The finished telling. Macerated, filtered and rested until the notes stop arguing and start reading as one line.
We stayed a small operation by choice. A handful of perfumers and chemists, one supply room, one bottling table — close enough that a bad batch gets caught before it leaves the building.
We work with local perfumers on custom briefs as often as we work on our own line, which keeps the bench honest about what actually smells good versus what just photographs well.
